My Concept

Color, shape, texture & patterns are all taken into consideration when each piece of unique jewerly is created.  "I am drawn what nature has to offer, whether it is the beach stone incorporated into one of my hand forged pieces, or the combination of gemstones & shells I use in the beaded designs my goal is to evoke an organic feeling..." 

I use primarily Sterling Silver in my hand forged work, with the addition of copper/brass etc.. to compliment the final design.  The natural beach stones that I use allow me to create a new & orginal piece each time I see something that inspires me.  Although I might use the same silver shapes over and over, the hammer pattern, size & patina are all dictated by the choice of beach stone shape and color.  The overall feeling that I strive to create is one of being connected to the energy of each stone.  Chosen carefully and in an environmentally conscience way, these treasures are tumbled only by the sea and not altered in any other way.  The natural darkening of the stones, from the oils of your skin when worn, are the only enhancement.

The infinate possibilites that gemstone beads provide allow me to design creations that are uniquely patterned and adorned with Karen Hill Tribe silver.  I use combinations of this silver, that is 95-98% pure silver and hand crafted in Thailand, exclusively in my beaded work.  " I am drawn to the oxidization and patterns of the Hill Tribe silver in that it has a simplicity to it's design that enhances my organic style."
